The wave of dark matter, called The Great Reset, caused an alteration in a certain group of people around the world. This alteration affected those with an extra gland within their brain. This gland, when activated, altered the person on a genetic level, gifting them with abilities unlike any seen, for centuries, among normal humans. Some effects are drastic, others are minimized.

The gland is not an evolutionary trait or an abnormality. The gland is a hereditary trait passed down from the Twelve Tribes of Israel. The story of the gland goes back to the story of Jacob, who would one day be called Israel. Legend is that when Jacob tricked his father into granting him his brothers (Esau) birthright, this was that birthright. It is believed that the Blessing and Birthright was an actual spiritual/physical/scientific/magical rite that could literally alter a person. According to ancient texts this birthright that Jacob stole was the blessing and responsibility of this extra gland that, with the right event, could gift him or his descendants, with tremendous abilities. Based on the actions that the descendants of Israel performed it is believed that some of them actually had activated glands.

Now, due to interbreeding, the gland has become more widespread but not as easily activated. That is, until The Great Reset swept through everyone and everything on Eden. Those whose glands have been activated are called Legacies.

Merlyn Emrys, however, knows exactly where it came from. For when the Atomic Particle Wave swept over the planet, it ripped through space and time. As Time is not linear, it spread like water throughout time and where it touched reality, it activated what is now being called the Tribal Gland in individuals. These people would go on to become legends, myths, or possibly even known historical characters present day school children read about. It was when Merlyn Emrys had traveled to the World Sundering and began threading the timelines together, that he reached into Negative-Limbo and found this Atomic Particle Wave, so full of unused energy, and pulled into his works, using the sheer power to control and seal each thread together, binding them with the very destructive force that in the future would not only devastate the planet but create Legacies on a massive scale.

This energy leaked into the reality of this new universe, where it altered the genetic template of the people, mutating them to produce an extra gland that could access this excess energy. But as each person is different, their access would differ from others, giving them an almost unique ability. As events played out, and knowledge of this new addition to their own bodies became a legacy passed from father to son, only one family would learn how to ensure the gland would continue to future generations, and physically strong enough to be activated should יהווה require it. This method became a ritual of magical, spiritual, physical, and even scientific that was called the Blessing. This is why the Tribal Gland has become linked with the Twelve Tribes of Israel, for it was this family that kept the Blessing alive and carried on throughout time.

Therefore, it was the Atomic Particle Wave that not only activated the Tribal Gland in the future, but also throughout time, ending in the past where it mutated the survivors of the Great Flood, and granted them a physical means of accessing its energy and becoming Legacies. Thus a mutation (activation) of a mutation (gland). And this activation has become an "after mutation" event, making those affected go "beyond mutation"".

Since The Great Reset, many have tried to calculate the number of Legacies in the world. Using sophisticated A.I. and developing quantum computing, the following information has become accepted as common knowledge in this new world.

The Twelve Tribes of Israel were a significant portion of the ancient Israelites, but not the only ones. Since only the first-born sons (and sometimes the second-born sons) were "Blessed", it has been assumed that 1.5 Blessed Sons per family can be used for the calculations. Assuming an average generation time of 25-30 years, there have been approximately 60-70 generations since the time of the Twelve Tribes (around 1000 BCE). It is assumed that roughly 12% of the global population is a descendant of the Twelve Tribes of Israel. In 2040, just after The Great Reset when a Global Census was taken of the survivors, there was an estimated 528 million survivors on Eden. This means there was an estimated 63.4 million survivors who were genetically descended from the Twelve Tribes of Israel giving us an approximate 33 million activated Legacies.

Now, in the year 2058, the yearly Global Census shows the world population has grown to 764 million people, an estimated 91.7 million genetic descendants of the Twelve Tribes of Israel and 47.7 million Legacies!
