While a missionary in Anguilla, Samuel James Power married his high school sweetheart. One year later Corey Jules Power was born.

As an adult, Corey has married, for convenience, and sired a son, as per expectations of his family, before he packed up his wife and son and moved back to Anguilla, in order to get away from the judgemental looks and disgust of his parents.

In the new country, Corey was outside when the leading edge of a hurricane hit the island. As he went running back inside to make sure his family was in the storm bunker, a lightning bolt struck him, sending him flying...literally!

The bolt had activated his meta-mutant powers and he found himself flying through the air at supersonic speed, leaving a rainbow trail behind him. Circling back home he was thankful to find the storm covered his rainbow trail so no one could see where it led.

Recently he has been approached by members of The T.I.T.A.N.S. and asked to be an instructor at their new academy. It was believed that, with his flight speed, he would be able to commute to OTS Kalaallit Nunaat and back with no problem. Corey accepted, took the name of Starlight, and now is a public figure of stature in his community due to his powers and ties to The T.I.T.A.N.S..

Cosmic Energy Conversion:

Starlight absorbs cosmic energy from the stars, granting him powers that include:

Energy Projection - Enhanced Agility - Enhanced Stamina - Enhanced Strength

Flight: Starlight can fly at supersonic speeds while creating a stream of refracted light. Since his powers first manifested, he has learned how to hover in the air without accelerating.

Limited Invulnerability: Starlight has survived direct energy blasts from Bolt, which previously disintegrated other individuals.

Rainbow Trail: Starlight also emits a distinct rainbow-colored trail while flying. He eventually learned to manipulate this trail so that he could stand on it, use it to cushion the falls of others, and even as a hammock.

Speed: Starlight's maximum speed is at least 800 mph, faster than the speed of sound. He has been shown creating sonic booms when flying.

Teleportation: The second manifestation of Starlight's powers, which manifested after he had a strong desire to be in two places at once. This power allowed him to traverse great distances, seemingly without effort. He teleports in a flash of pink light.

Power Uniform: Starlight wears a special costume made of unstable molecules. The uniform (seen in image above) is what appeared on him when his powers first activated, though its origin is still unknown. The uniform can be intangible and invisible, but will materialize on him when he wills it to do so. It is unknown how it knows to adjust based on his fitness, but the same uniform appears to fit him perfectly each time it appears.
