Adopted when he was just weeks old, Val Alexander Armorr was living with his new parents in Chinatown, San Francisco when, at the age of seven, the Great Burn swept across the globe, triggering his meta-mutant gland. This was a blessing as The Quake destroyed the City and County of San Francisco, sending skyscrapers crashing down, killing thousands, except for The Armorr's. As the nearest building began to collapse Val's powers manifested and he was able to alter gravity, causing the building to slide away from them. It would be his powers that not only saved his family, but those around him as well.

But their home was gone and they would have to move. So they moved to Foshan in the People's Republic of China to live with his mother's family. It was there that his family began to train him in Wing Chun and Wushu as a means to use his abilities in defense as well as a calming technique.

Val trained until he had nothing left to learn and moved on to other masters and trained in various fighting techniques. By the time he was 17 he had been promoted to godan (fifth degree black belt) in judo/jiujitsu and had mastered Goju-ryu karate, Tang Soo Do, Tae Kwon Do, and many more. At the age of 21 Val, going by the name of Inryoku, had mastered just about every known martial art on Earth.

What set him apart from his opponents was his ability to combine his powers with his abilities. Even at his fastest speed, the moment he touched an opponent he was able to alter their gravity, causing them to become lighter or heavier, depending on his desire. Because of this his punches hit harder than his five-foot-five frame should have. He was light on his feet due to lessening of gravity, which made him seem to soar around his opponents, but then he would strike and overwhelm them.

He did not use his powers in all fights, but his judicious use allowed him to remain calm as he focused on his movements and those of his opponents which gave him the advantage of not being drawn into banter, insults or when an opponent used a weapon. Inryoku never liked using weapons as he felt his training was sufficient to handle any foe.

Gravitikinesis:

Inryoku can negate the force of gravity on himself and on other living beings and objects through anti-gravitons. (Gravitons are subatomic particles which carry the force of gravitational attraction. Anti-gravitons are subatomic particles that are the counterparts to gravitons, but have an opposite charge.) Previously, in order to reduce the pull of gravity on an object or a living being other than himself, Inryoku needed to be in physical contact with that object or being.

Now, Inryoku can project a gravity distortion field that can increase or decrease gravity on an object that he is in close proximity to, but not necessarily in physical contact with. He has also learned to increase gravity in a specific direction on an object or person allowing himself and others to simulate controlled, directional flight.

When Inryoku uses his power small, black, rectangular marks often appear on his forearms and lower legs. If those portions of his body are covered by clothing, the marks show up on the parts of his clothing covering his forearms and lower legs, and sometimes on part of whatever object he is touching and using his power on. With his training, Inryoku's speed allows him to use his power without his opponent seeing these marks. The limits of the amount of mass on which Inryoku can successfully use his power are not yet known.

Flight: Inryoku now seems to hover and fly in any direction at will.

Martial Arts: Inryoku is a master of every known martial art on Earth and knows how to use them combined with the use of his gravitational powers.

Mind Control Resistance: His martial arts training has given him the ability to resist mind control or most mental invasions.

Power Uniform: Inryoku wears a special costume made of unstable molecules. The uniform (seen in image above) is what appeared on him when his powers first activated, though its origin is still unknown. The uniform can be intangible and invisible, but will materialize on him when he wills it to do so. It is unknown how it knows to adjust based on his fitness, but the same uniform appears to fit him perfectly each time it appears.
