Alien Physiology:

In an as yet unclear way, it appears Wipeout is at least partially alien. What has been determined is that she is partially human, but it seems she is mostly...not. However, in comparison to samples in the database, there seems to be no match for the non-human part of her DNA. She does seem to be in perfect health and has access to some sort of primeval energy, which is believed to be one of the ultimate foundations of the Universal Expression of Energy. This energy matrix of hers grants her the following abilities:

Bio-Fission:

In order for Wipeout to disintegrate materials she atomizes herself into destructive loose energy particles, expelling her mass at high velocity in all directions, surrounding the object, disintegrating it, then causing her atoms to reassemble themselves back into her human form, absorbing the energy of the disintegration. With apparent telepathic control, when in her atomized cloud, she can then move at high velocity resembling a sand storm. The atomized storm effect is strong enough to disintegrate steel and concrete.

Her atomized form is not what you expect. Each individual atom-sized particle is actually...her. But her at the size of an atom. It is unclear if her 4-foot form is comprised of atom-sized duplicates, or if she is just splitting herself into smaller and smaller pieces. If she creates a single duplicate, each form is half her normal height. If she splits into four, then each form is a quarter her normal height...and so on.

This form of Bio-Fission is unique to her. Each duplicate is an individual yet also linked mentally to each other. When split into atom-sized duplicates, she is able to mentally arrange herself to form the atomic structure of any molecule, like when she formed herself into gold bar to be used as payment for weapons, allowing her to get inside the terrorist base without ruining the operation with her normal destructive tendency.

Energy Absorption & Projection:

Wipeout can project "power balls" of force from her forehead or hands, which carry a great destructive impact. In order to amass enough energy to form the "power balls," Wipeout must disintegrate an object and absorb the released energy into herself. Apparently Wipeout does not convert all of the matter she disintegrates into energy, or create nuclear reactions within it; if she did, she would release far more energy than she has so far. Probably she disintegrates matter by severing the bonds holding its molecules together. Wipeout prefers to derive energy by disintegrating solid objects or liquids; gases, except in impractically large amounts, could not give her sufficient energy. When charged with energy, Wipeout's body often glows with crackling power.

At first she had little control over her power, and would accidentally fire power balls on becoming angry or frightened. Moreover, the power balls would fly off in all directions from her forehead or hands. With practice and determination, however, Wipeout has since learned how to fire the power balls when she wishes to, and in the specific direction she wishes. There are undefined limits to the amount of time she can contain certain amounts of energy within her body, and she sometimes may be forced to release power balls simply to rid herself of excess energy.

Through practice, Wipeout has learned how to absorb energy fired at her and then use it to create power balls. It is as yet unclear whether she can do this with all forms of energy or not.

Wipeout's power is limited by the amount of energy she can absorb. She can easily absorb and release enough energy to destroy several steel beams at once, as she did when she caused a building under construction to collapse upon Citadelle. Presumably as Wipeout grows bigger, she will be able to surpass her present limits in utilizing her power.

Physical Immunity: A side effect of her energy form is being immune to physical harm. While atomized she does not need to breathe, eat, drink or worry about being hurt, outside of energy or magical attacks.

Telepathic Resistance: Wipeout is very hard to telepathically detect or influence while in her particulate form, even for more powerful telepaths like Thunderbird or Onyx.

Power Uniform: Wipeout wears a special costume made of unstable molecules. The uniform is what she was found in, though its origin is still unknown. The uniform can be intangible and invisible, but will materialize on her when she wills it to do so. The wristbands and shoes seem to have "positive" or "negative" symbols indicating that Wipeout has the potential to alternate the current of her energy form. So far she has not been able to accomplish this.
