History

Written by: Joshua W. Murcray

Fiktur Nathanial Satarik was born to a very wealthy family. In fact, due to his business acumen and inventions, Fiktur's great-grandfather was the sole reason why Egypt grew in power and began to slowly bring in neighboring nations under their protection and authority.

Now, known as the Egyptian Conglomerate of Nations, the Satarik family has become the CEO House of the entire Middle East and Northern Africa. This Conglomerate, which operates more as a business and less as a country, is the 3rd largest and wealthiest nation in the world, making the House of Satarik (now Stark) the richest family in the world, with an estimated $113 trillion net worth!

But at the age of 20, while on a diplomatic mission to Nairobi in Kenya, Satarik was traveling through what he thought was south-western Ethiopia, when his caravan was attacked by rebel poachers! Satarik was seriously wounded in the attack.

First Look

After being rescued by the Kingdom of B'Washenga border patrols, doctors managed to implant special devices that would allow Satarik to continue to live. As he grew in strength, Satarik was able to meet with the leader of this hidden city, G'Challa, King of B'Washenga, also known as the Silverback! G'Challa is one of the world's greatest martial artists, having been trained by The Silent Dragon.

Now, using his country's vast fortune from being the sole provider for the rare metal, Nthbranium, G'Challa's family has made B'Washenga the most technologically advanced place on Earth.

However, he had bad news for Satarik. It seems the tech placed within Satarik's body was not stopping his body from breaking down. He was dying. So, the doctors created a cloned body for Satarik, which they would transfer his consciousness into, once it was ready.

First Upgrade

As the clone was almost ready, Satarik went into cardiac arrest. This was it, he was dying, and the clone was not ready. But the doctors had no choice but to try, so the transfer was made, and one week later, Satarik awoke within his new body...and the worried looks on the doctor's faces.

It turns out that because the clone was not ready when they made the transfer, the process itself caused a cellular breakdown that did not look like it could be stopped. Once again, the doctors were scrambling for a solution, and the only one that seemed to be holding things at bay, was the cybernetic implants they were attaching to his body.

Finally, it was G'Challa who devised a last-ditch effort to save Satarik. Introducing a cocktail of medical nanites, a blood transfusion from the king himself, and the secret formula that gave the kings of B'Washenga the powers of the G'Challa; all three were thought to be the last attempt to save the life of Fiktur Nathanial Satarik. And it worked!

Waking up, and still having to use the cybernetic parts already implanted in him, Satarik was awake and alive and no longer deteriorating.

Second Upgrade

There was one major drawback. The nanites had fused with the strange metal the doctors had used in the cybernetic prosthesis they had attached to Satarik. Along with the blood of the king, and the potion it had created a techno-serum that allowed Satarik to access any and all electronics with his mind alone, as well as control his cybernetic body. He had become a living computer. Since his cybernetic parts were obvious, covering most of his body, Satarik, designed upgrades to them, designed to look like armor.

Now, with a body that is mostly made of the hardest material on the planet he changed his name to Victor Nathaniel Stark and joined The T.I.T.A.N.S. as The Engineer!

Powers

Crystalized Nthbranium Armor Cybernetic Enhancement:

Adaptive Countermeasures: The Engineer's systems are capable of fabricating and initializing any number of technological adaptations to deal with any adversary he comes across. i.e. absorbing and redistributing energy for a phasing Angãraka. Even creating an anti-possession frequency against mental attacks.

Anti-Magnetism: Though tricky to pull off, especially in the midst of a battle, but The Engineer can control the nanites of his body armor so precisely that, when he concentrates, he can alter its molecular structure in order to make it resistant to magnetism, usually by changing it to white gold or some other non-magnetic metal. This skill is most helpful when up against Magnus, the Demon's Head of the Eternal Hellfire.

Computer Interfacing - Cosmic Awareness

Dimensional Travel

Energy Absorption - Energy Projection - Energy Resistance - Energy Transference - Enhanced Hearing - Enhanced Senses - Enhanced Vision

Energy Blade: Based on the same design he used to build All-Star's energy shield, this laser sword, emitted from his left arm, could also be flattened into a shield on his hands, or spread over the entire armor to encase the armor in a protective covering.

Energy Conversion Power Recharge: The armor is also able to absorb and convert nearby or far away energy sources, such as heat, solar, electrical, magnetic, geo-thermal or kinetic energy or energy from the planet itself into electricity, or even drain energy directly into the batteries for recharge.

Flight - Force Field

Holographic Image Projection - Interstellar Travel

Hyper-Velocity Impact: The Hyper-Velocity program, in his cybernetic brain, allows The Engineer to think and move at a much faster time frame than everyone else, allowing for quicker attacks. Also, it could create an electrical bubble if The Engineer is going fast enough.

Lasers: Standard lasers that can be used as weapons or for welding, including UV laser to penetrate light-permeable shields.

Magnetic Manipulation - Mechanokinesis - Metamorphosis

Material Assimilation: The Engineer can consciously integrate new forms of machines and cybernetics into his own bionic physiology in order to further enhance himself.

Multi-Beam: As the name implies, the Multi-Beam can fire multiple energies at the same time. Generally used with the energy that The Engineer has absorbed.

Nanobionic Regeneration: The Engineer's robotics' give him the ability to physically recover his damaged circuitry in the event of catastrophic structural impairment.

Omnibeam: Rather than only firing beam type attacks, the Omnibeam can generate heats at 25,232° Fahrenheit, extremely powerful lights causing irreversible blindness in the enemy, and emit ultrasonic attacks capable of stunning even superhumanly durable foes possibly causing disintegration. The other way the Omnibeam is fired is by absorbing or draining any energy in The Engineer's vicinity, drawing it into his circuitry, converting it into billions of petawatts and firing it.

Onboard Computer: The armor has an internal on-board computer operating system located in his brain, that aids The Engineer in providing strategies, background information on opponents, surroundings, the status of the suit, and prevents a lock on from targeting systems.

Override: When required, his cybernetic systems, including strength amplification, durability amplification, and repellnig intensity, can be greatly increased by bypassing safety circuits and limiters. However, there is a chance that this can result in a complete system failure of the system. The range of the Override can be controlled as only reaching his very limit and staying at it for a long time will cause a system failure. This range goes from a safe 800% to 3,200%, up to a very dangerous 5,000%.

Power Absorption - Power Distribution - Psychic Link

Pentabeam: The Pentabeam has a microwave lensing projector that allows for directed beams of ultra-high multi mega-joule electrons, protons, acoustic energy, and neutrons.

Plasma Discharge: A plasma discharge is given off when the suit encounters Nthbranium.

Power Cells: Most of his armor is powered by a combination of solar converters, electrical batteries and an on-board generator that uses beta particle absorption as a fuel source.

Pulse Barrage: This is one of The Engineer's standard long-range attacks. Because of its extremely low energy consumption, Pulse Barrage can be a very effective attack. an upgraded Red Pulse Barrage can penetrate through foes hitting others behind them, and the ability to ricochet off walls hitting more targets.

Pulse Bolts: Extremely powerful plasma discharges that propagate in strength over distance but implode if they get overloaded.

Reality Alteration - Regenerative - Resurrection

Repelling Rays: The nanotech's primary energy weapon. A particle beam weapon, standard equipment in the palm gauntlets; can repel physical and energy-based attacks, traveling as a single stream or as a wide-field dispersal. Beams possess penetrative strength ranging from effortlessly punching through 2 inches of steel to blasting a hole through a mountain. Power output can be adjusted for larger beams or an omnidirectional, full form repelling blast. Power output can be adjusted to fire beams generating 2 gigawatts to the beams in the high petawatt region, with assistance from outside sources.

Stasis Field Projection - Super-Leaping - Superhuman Durability - Superhuman Speed - Superhuman Stamina - Superhuman Strength

Self-Contained Life-Support System & Environmental Protection: The nanotech can quickly envelope The Engineer, completely sealing his body for operations in vacuum or underwater, providing its own life support, and is shielded against radiation, biological, chemical, corrosive, kinetic, and electrical attacks as well.

Sensor Array: Known sensors include radar/lidar, night vision, thermal, motion, telescopic, microscopic and physiological/medical scanners that allow The Engineer to take and monitor the vitals of other people, including heart and brain scans. These scans also provide The Engineer with real-time personal physiological data. They are also capable of an all-environmental scan for atmospheric content or life forms--including astral energy projections.

Tracking

Telepathic Microscopic Tasers: The Engineer created this device to prevent telepathic beings from using their powers. They are tiny inhalable implants that, once inhaled by a telepath, the more he/she tries to use his/her psychic powers, the higher the voltage of an electric current released in his/her body. It can be lethal if the telepath doesn't stop trying to use his/her powers. The Engineer has the ability to remote activate or deactivate these tasers.

Telepathy Inhibitor: The Engineer's cybernetics are capable of blocking telepathic signals, even those of beings as powerful as Archimage.

Unibeam: A powerful searchlight, capable of projecting beams in virtually every light spectrum. Also used as a powerful weapon that can destroy anything in its path. It fires a boosted form of the Monobeam with some energy backing it up.

Abilities

Athletics

Enhanced Intelligence: Quite apart from the powers granted him by his cybernetics, The Engineer is far more than a mechanical engineering prodigy who graduated from the The American University in Cairo with honors at the age of 17. With an intelligence classified as super-genius, he easily is one of the smartest people on Earth (currently rated #2). Furthermore, this extends to his remarkable ingenuity dealing with difficult situations such as foes and deathtraps where he is capable of using his available tools, like his cybernetics, in unorthodox and effective ways. He has also been able to hack technology from the Khreeunds, a race centuries more advanced than humans.
The Engineer's genius allows him to act as a futurist, a person capable of intuiting the future based on current trends, to the point of foreshadowing that a situation is going to happen years before it does. This ability also extends to a much smaller scale, with The Engineer being capable of predicting with accuracy the way an interaction with a given individual will go down even before talking with them, a faculty that makes it really hard for human interactions to surprise him, and causes him to sometimes finish other people's sentences.
The Engineer can use his superior intellect to the levels of dividing his consciousness with the help of his cybernetic brain and perfectly operate three portions of his consciousness at the same time, being able to move, fight, talk and process information in three different bodies at the same time. The Engineer has been mentioned by Mr. Excelsior to be the world's best multitasker.

Expert Tactician: He is a brilliant tactician capable of quickly formulating battle strategies and new plans if the situation changes, like being able to elaborate different complex plans in order to defeat different enemies in difficult situations and be victorious. Even going as far as to simultaneously put Mr. Excelsior in check on five different boards playing chess, a game he did not learn until later in his life, leaving Mr. Excelsior totally astonished.

Master Businessman: The Engineer is extremely well-respected in the business world, able to command people's attention when he speaks on economic matters by virtue of the fact that he is savvy enough to have, over the years, built up several multi-billion-dollar nations and companies from virtually nothing. He is known for the loyalty he commands from and returns to those who work for him, as well as his impeccable business ethics. He also strives to be environmentally responsible in his businesses, and in one case, immediately fired an employee who made profitable (but illegal) sales to Melltithio. He states that if he wanted to, he could give away his entire fortune and build it up again within a week. The Engineer most notably turned his father's multi-nation business empire into the leading scientific industry in the world, and this when he was barely into his twenties.

Master Engineer: He is an excellent engineer and mechanic capable of fixing almost any, if not all machinery.

Multilingual: Apart from English, The Engineer can speak different languages fluently, including Japanese, Mandarin Chinese, Egyptian, French, Russian, and Korean. He also might know multiple Middle Eastern languages, at one point noting that Urdu was not his strong suit.

Skilled Combatant: The Engineer was trained in unarmed combat by Silverback, making him a physically formidable combatant on his own when the situation demands it.

Skilled Marksman: The Engineer knows how to handle firearms, mainly the ones he has produced.

Weaknesses

Alcoholism: While The Engineer has quit drinking, he continues to struggle and avoid falling off the wagon. The Engineer's alcoholism has made him susceptible to the prospect of drinking, especially when under pressure. Strangely enough, his cybernetic repairs and virus scans do not percieve alcohol as a foreign substance to be expunged. It is believed this is due to a subconcious desire to drink.

Constant Recharge: Due to his defective body, The Engineer must always keep his cybernetics charged often involving breaking away from a fight to recharge otherwise he would die. Overuse of his cybernetic body can result in a drastic power drain.

Memory Problems: Due to his recent body degradation and the cloning procedure that restored him, The Engineer can no longer remember certain points of his young life and the simplest things like how to tie a necktie due to the process's side-effects being greater than it was initially predicted.
