Protectors of The People and For The People!
On July 4th, 2048, almost exactly ten years after The Great Burn as well as The Quake that changed the geography of the planet, the United States of America, along with Kanata, defied the will of the United Nations and the European Union and merged their two broken countries into one large nation.
This new nation took on the name of the United Protectorates of North America and began the process of becoming one of the greatest countries in the world.
On that same day, two great former leaders died at exactly the same time. At the age of 87, former President of the United States, Barack Hussein Obama II, died. At the same time, at the age of 77, former Prime Minister of Canada, Justin Pierre James Trudeau, died. Both men lived long enough to watch the signing of the merger and the beginning of a new era.
Unbeknownst to their families, the spirits of the two men merged with the growing spirit of this new nation and became the superhero known as Protectorate! He immediately searched out and gathered others who embodied the will of the people and the spirit of the land, and together they formed The United 8 of North America!
Dedicated to protecting the land, as well as the people, these eight unique individuals strive to show by example how the different walks of life within these borders can come together, stronger, and accomplish great and mighty works!
