Var’Zirath The Black Fang

Zth’kaa’ri of Darkness

“The Song has been sung. The dark rejoices. I am Var’Zirath, the Black Fang. Behold my power, for all light flees before me.”

Legendary Name & Power: Var’Zirath, the Black Fang – A single cut drains some strength or willpower into the bearer of the Sword. Sharp and deadly, the Sword can kill like a real sword, but the victim will feel the effects of strength and willpower being drained from them as they die.

True Name & Power: Sword of Darkness

📍 Original Location:

Buried beneath the Throne of a Long-Fallen Galactic Empire

Var’Zirath, the Black Fang was last wielded by a ruler so powerful that they brought entire star systems to their knees.

Their empire is long gone, but their throne still stands on a ruined, uninhabited world.

Legends say that when the Sword of Darkness was entombed beneath the throne, an unbreakable seal was placed upon it—one that only a new Conqueror can break.

However, those who have sought it out have either disappeared or turned against themselves before they could claim it.

Some believe it rejects the unworthy, while others think it feeds on ambition, driving seekers mad before they can take hold of it.

Pros:

✅ Ensures victory for its wielder in any battle.

✅ Influences fate itself, making the wielder an unstoppable force.

✅ Turns even the weakest fighter into an overwhelming champion.

✅ Can inspire armies and reshape empires.

✅ Can store stolen willpower and unleash it in a burst, allowing a moment of godlike action (e.g., an impossible attack or feat of endurance).

Cons:

❌ The wielder is bound to war—true peace is impossible while wielding the sword.

❌ The influx of strength and willpower is like a drug, causing the wielder to desire more battles.

❌ If taken by another, the balance shifts immediately, making it a high-risk weapon.

❌ Enemies will always rise against them, ensuring they are never without battle.

Curse: The Blood Debt

💀 Once drawn in battle, the sword demands blood—it cannot be sheathed until it has wounded someone.

💀 Wielders slowly lose control in combat, falling deeper into battle-fury with each swing.

💀 The bearer feels the rage and pain of all previous wielders, making them prone to violent outbursts and madness.

Results:

🔹 The wielder’s very presence incites violence; animals become aggressive, and even close allies grow competitive.

🔹 Their heartbeat sounds like a war drum when the sword is drawn.

🔹 The wielder begins to see everything as a battle, even things that aren’t.

Diplomacy becomes impossible because they believe every encounter is a contest to be won.

🔹 The wielder must engage in combat at least once every fortnight/14 days—if they fail, their strength begins to drain, and they grow weaker, aging rapidly.

🔹 After 21 days without battle, they begin suffering hallucinations of enemies that don’t exist, their mind creating threats where there are none.

🔹 After 30 days without battle, they become a shadow of themselves, a husk of a warrior, unable to move or act, consumed by their own unfulfilled hunger for combat.

The only way to recover is to draw and clash swords/weapons—but by this point, they may be too weak to do so.

Alternative Consequences:

🔹 If the wielder tries to suppress the urge to fight, fate intervenes—a battle will find them, no matter where they are.

A warrior may challenge them, a mugger may attack them, or even natural disasters may force them into a fight for survival.

🔹 The longer they resist, the stronger their next opponent will be—as if the universe is course-correcting the imbalance.

Verdance Veil The Refuge City

Siberian Forest

Location: Deep in the taiga, cloaked by weather-shielding fields that bend light and distort heat signatures.

Environment: Dense ancient forest, long winters, shifting seasons, and creeping permafrost.

Description:

A webbed enclave woven through the trees, with bioluminescent crystal towers that mimic arboreal shapes. The city integrates the local biome without touching it—structures hover, anchored via gravity loops. Mists constantly roll between the towers, creating a dreamlike atmosphere.

Architecture: Rounded towers shaped like blossoming petals or pinecones, shedding light in soft green and violet hues. Many structures resemble natural tree formations but refract light like stained glass.

Function: Intellectual center. This is where the Kanderi research Earth, catalog data, study evolution—ironically, while denying it for themselves.

Shared Technology & Themes:

Prismatic Crystal-Growth Tech: All structures are grown, not built, using crystalline seeds keyed to specific frequencies.

Self-Sustaining Ecosystems: Cities recycle all energy and matter. Each has its own artificial star-core to simulate homeworld light.

Shielding Systems: Use photonic displacement cloaks, psionic veils, and gene-dampening fields to stay hidden and uncorrupted.

Voidshard (The World Cleaver)

Zth’kaa’ri of Doom, The Last Cut

“The Song has been sung. I am now awake. I am Voidshard, the World Cleaver. Behold my power, for I am the Last Cut—the blade that ends all stories.”

Legendary Name & Power: Voidshard, The World Cleaver – A blade that can cut through any material.

True Name & Power: Sword of Doom aka The Last Cut – Cuts through reality itself, severing matter, space, and even concepts.

📍 Original Location: The Land Where Gods Fall – A battlefield where immortals perished.

Current Bearer: Mālik – Currently in possession – A wielder who understands the blade but is wary of using it too freely.

Core Mechanics

Absolute Severance: This blade cuts through anything—matter, space, time, magic, even abstract concepts. It can sever causality, ensuring something never even happened.

Unraveling Fate: It cuts through preordained events, rendering prophecies and divine decrees meaningless—except the wielder’s own, which they are bound to forever.

Unreachable Beings Become Vulnerable: Spirits, gods, eldritch entities, nothing is untouchable. If it exists, the blade can cut it.

Reality-Ripping Slashes: Each strike leaves behind a scar in existence, which may take centuries to heal—or may never heal at all.

Pros:

✔️ Cuts Through Anything – There are no exceptions. Divine armor, magical barriers, cosmic bindings—all are sliced apart.

✔️ Fate Cannot Chain the Wielder – Immune to mind control, possession, and preordained events.

✔️ Ghosts, Spirits, and Gods Can Bleed – The wielder can strike pure energy, incorporeal beings, and even conceptual forms.

✔️ A Cosmic Check Against Power – The mere existence of this sword prevents gods, demons, and higher beings from ruling unchecked.

Cons:

❌ The Wielder Loses Free Will Over Time – The sword has one purpose: to cut. The longer it’s used, the more the wielder becomes an extension of that purpose.

❌ No Effect on Normality – Against mundane mortals and objects, it behaves like a normal blade.

❌ Reality Reacts Violently – Any use of the sword causes ripples in existence—slashing fate itself can cause unintended chaos.

❌ Cannot Undo Its Own Cuts – What is severed stays severed. No “rewinding” or restoring something erased by the blade.

❌ Using It Against Gods or Abstract Forces May Trigger Universal Backlash – Some things are not meant to be severed.

Curse: The Hungry Blade

💀 The sword is always sharp, always cutting—it cannot be sheathed or stored without destroying what it touches.

💀 It slices through reality itself, sometimes cutting things the bearer never intended (such as their own memories, emotions, or relationships).

💀 Wielders struggle with detachment, as the blade metaphorically “cuts away” their empathy over time.

Result on Bearer:

🔸 Their reflection sometimes vanishes or lingers a second too long.

🔸 They hear whispers of things that "should have been" but no longer exist.

🔸 Eldritch entities and gods fear them—not for their strength, but because the blade could make them cease to be.

🔸 They eventually stop making choices of their own—the sword always "guides" them to what must be cut next.

Ancient & Mythological Names:

"The World Cleaver" – Early human civilizations, seeing it as a divine weapon that could sunder mountains and kingdoms.

"The Unmaker’s Fang" – A more primal name, used by warlords who realized it could break through any weapon or armor.

"Godsplitter" – The first time it’s used against an entity beyond mortal comprehension.

"The Concept Reaver" – A name given when someone realizes it can cut through ideas, laws of nature, and even fate itself.

"The Edge of Unmaking" – When the full scope of its reality-breaking power becomes understood, a terrifying yet fitting title.
