It is unclear where Ta-Miu is truly from or how she got where she was.

What is known is that she was found fighting in illegal fighting pits where she was kept as a slave and trained only to fight anything she comes across.

When Darkstar and Stargrave found her, she was the current reigning champion and had been in the fighting pits for several years.

Darkstar and Stargrave approached her owners and offered a substantial sum to purchase her, but were turned down. But before the owners could walk away, Ta-Miu, who had silently come up behind them, killed her owners and told Darkstar and Stargrave that only she controls her destiny. She then agreed to be purchased, but this time she got the money and not her owners, who were not going to need it in the Afterlife.

Ta-Miu may have agreed to be purchased by Darkstar and Stargrave, but this only brings up the idea that she could have walked from the fighting pits any time she wanted.

It also suggests that she can be purchased by anyone, and therefore her loyalty can be bought.

While she has become a very capable member of The Omega Guardians, trusting her has not come easy to those who were part of the team before she came on board.

The other members of The Omega Guardians trust her completely and only time will tell if this trust is rewarded, or will she betray them all when a better offer comes along.

Ta-Miu claims to be a Karnistoid. She says that her race, in comparison to an Earth animal, is a polecat-like species and has been long dominated by the Shi'tha'nar'ian Empire.

Agility: Triple-Jointed: Her agility is beyond or equal to the natural limits of the finest human athletes. She is able to bend limbs at the joint in any direction.

Pheromone Manipulation: She can emit specific mind/mood-altering pheromones at will.

Reflexes: Enhanced: She reacts at speeds equal to or beyond the natural limits of the finest human athletes.

Superhumanly Acute Senses

_____Hyperosmia: She has a hyper-keen sense of smell.

_____Night Vision: She can see perfectly fine in the dark.

Dancing: She studied Dance on her own in order to incorporate it into her fighting moves. Spectators said that they pay to watch the fights, because of her graceful, and sometime erotic, fighting-dance moves.

Acrobat: Ta-Miuh is a brilliant natural athlete and acrobat.

Fighting Skills: Expert: Ta-Miu is a skilled hand-to-hand combatant, trained in various forms of armed and unarmed combat known in the Shi'tha'nar'ian Empire. She is also knowledgeable in the operation of a wide variety of ship-sized weaponry.

Pilot: Ta-Miu is also skilled in flying planes or starships after having watched Darkstar fly.
