As the half-brother of Her Royal Highness, Princess Karmoand'r Zen-Tamaberis, Peter Ryander is technically royalty. But also kind of a bastard.

See, his mom was this really cool girl from Colorado on Earth. His dad, a prick from some distant alien planet somewhere, came to Earth because he really just wanted to party, but back home they wanted him to take his father's place as King and get ready to be a dad, since his wife was pregnant.

While here on Earth His Royal Travesty had quite a night on the town, and got Peter's mom pregnant.

That sobered up the alien d*** and he left for home the very day after finding out.

When Peter was born, his mom named him Peter (after his grandfather) Ryander (his dad's first name).

At the age of eleven, Peter was visited by royal messengers from his dad, stating that it was time to begin his training. Peter was being chosen as the Heir to the Throne, despite having an older sister. Peter turned them down gently, and when the messengers regained consciousness, they kidnapped Peter to take him to his father.

Once in the Throne Room, Peter once again refused to take the throne, or anything, really, from his dad who abandoned him and his mom. Instead he made a strong case for them accepting his half-sister, Karmoand'r as the first queen in the history of that world. He was laughed out of the Throne Room.

But that is where his adventures began, for on his way out he happened to find himself in the armory, and then into the hanger, where a new prototype, sentient ship had been left unattended. Climbing aboard, he began preparations to steal the ship, the weapons, and a few pricey knicknacks he had gathered walking through the halls...and peoples rooms; when he was confronted with Karmoand'r who had followed him onboard.

She convinced him that there was no future here for her, except as a marriage with a rival planet for peace, and she wanted adventure. Besides, the last time she let her father decide for her, she had been captured by Psaurions and by the time her family had negotiated her return, the damage had been done, and she had become artificially enhanced.

It did not take much to convince Peter and soon they left in a stolen ship, with advanced weaponry, and, thanks to Karmoand'r enough Galactic Credits to hire a crew. But first, they had to avoid being found by their father, and brought back to face his wrath.

Enhanced Human/Alien Physiology:

Peter possesses a hybrid nature due to having parentage hailing from alien royalty as well as human originality. His powers are largely derived from his alien physiology; his body constantly absorbs ultraviolet radiation and converts it to energy, which can be used for a variety of purposes.

Cosmic Awareness: Darkstar possesses a degree of cosmic awareness, stating that he is more aware of "everything" and that he could feel a shift in the cosmic balance.

Energy Absorption: Like all members of the alien race, Darkstar can harness and channel ultraviolet radiation. The power of the sun is what gives him his strength and vitality, flight, and other unique gifts.

Enhanced Reflexes: Darkstar's reflexes and reaction time allow him to react at a speed that is beyond the natural physical limits of the finest human athlete.

Flight: Like all members of his alien heritage, Darkstar can absorb solar radiation to enable himself to fly.

Radiation Production: Being the representative force for nuclear fusion Darkstar can initiate voluntary atomic detonation.

Durability: Limited Regeneration: To an unknown degree, Darkstar's resistance to injury is increased dramatically. Darkstar can regrow organs, but the process will take nearly a century and a half.

Semi-Immortality: Due to his hybrid nature it is unsure how he will age, but it will likely be at a decelerated rate as members of that alien species have significantly longer lifespans.

Thermal-Blast: Darkstar can emit waves of concentrated super-heated energy from his hands. Able to burn, sear and flash melt anything he physically touches. This energy appears purple in color.

Transformation: The added edge to his power often causes Darkstar to appear as if he is bursting into flames.

Fighting Skills: Expert: Darkstar is well-versed in the use of firearms, from all over the Galaxy and is an expert in hand-to-hand combat being very skilled in multiple fighting styles.

Master Tactician and Strategist: Darkstar is a master strategist and problem solver, and skilled in battle techniques.

Pilot: Darkstar is an accomplished star ship pilot.

Universal Knowledge: Darkstar has extensive knowledge on various alien customs, societies and cultures, as well as various knowledge about cosmic abstracts.

Translator Implant: Darkstar has a translator implant on his neck allowing him to understand various alien languages.

Cybernetic Implants: In a drunken stupor, Peter approached a Kyln-escaped Psaurion convict, who agreed to enhance Peter with cybernetics, as long they did not turn her over to authorities. Darkstar and Stargrave agreed and the proceedure began. Along with some cybernetic grafting, Darkstar's eye was replaced with an implant that allows him to see all energy spectrums and the memory chip in his brain gives him 100% recall.

Heat Dampening Espionage Battle Suit: Darkstar wears a suit that grants augmented strength and durability and the ability to travel through space with ease. It is outfitted with a Khreeund issued heat-dampening espionage battle suit, a battle helmet, and a universal translator. His battle helmet analyzes strategy data, and can improve vision and regulate oxygen when in space.
