When his best friends sister, Charlotte, first manifested her powers it was at her birthday party. Unfortunately, her magic literally got away from her for, as Charlotte transformed into Peridella, Joshua, who had been diving to protect his mom, was struck in the center of the chest with a ball of pure magic.

Joshua's entire life changed in that moment as, along with Charlotte, he was altered on a genetic level. Wild magic, coursed through his body, rebuilding his DNA into a being of extraordinary abilities...and a completely different look.

Now, looking like he does, Joshua can no longer continue his training in R.O.T.C. or in any regular school. Instead, due to his vast powers, Joshua has joined The T.I.T.A.N.S. Academy in order to train, safely, and learn to control his new abilities.

Hybrid Physiology:

As a magically-forced being, Chirurgeon (which is an archaic word for doctor or surgeon) has access to a host of unique biophysical capabilities that include:

_____Adaptation: Chirurgeon's physiology enables him to reactively and preemptively augment himself in order to increase his rate of survival and chances of victory against most any opponent he might face, like generating new biological organs or reinforcing his body in various ways.

_____Dexterity: Enhanced

_____Durability: Superior: At this point Chirurgeon is resistant to anything less powerful than a full tank blast at point-blank range. More powerful weapons will hurt him and can even kill him.

_____Energy Absorption: Included in his ability to adapt and augment himself, Chirurgeon can absorb and/or re-purpose energy attacks directed at him.

_____Energy Projection: S-Long Range

_____Intelligence: Genius: When Chirurgeon first met Academy instructor Doctor Day their first handshake downloaded everything Doctor Day knew about human and meta-mutant biology, anatomy, genetics, physiology and medicine.

_____Metamorphosis: Chirurgeon can alter his body to form blades, energy guns or other weapons. He can even bio-shift his very physiology, like changing colors, shapes, or even number of appendages. However, his changes have a time limit and cannot be kept indefinitely.

_____Organic Construct Creation: Chirurgeon can even create a host of weapons, shielding, armor or equipment out of his own body with which only he has total control over.

_____Reflexes: Superior

_____Self-Sustenance: Chirurgeon can adaptively adjust his own physiology to produce special apparatus's for safe traversal across hostile environments, such as the depths of deep space or surviving in hostile alien environments or in the deepest trenches of the ocean.

_____Size Alteration: Chirurgeon can grow in height and muscle mass whenever he gets heated in the face of battle. It has been determined that this extra mass is taken from the very ground he is standing on.

_____Strength: Level-100: Chirurgeon has physical strength on par with powerhouses like Superion or Nacht Wunder.

_____Transformation: Chirurgeon's new body manifested in a complete bio-molecular metamorphosis which changes and reinforces his physical anatomy. Along with it he gained a host of biological tribal marks all across his body, the reason for them is still unknown.

Biokinesis:

Chirurgeon is capable of controlling the biological structure of his own and other people's bodies down to the genetic level. He can produce biomolecular energy at will to affect organic matter he touches. This allows him to heal physical damage done to his body or the bodies of others, reactivate suppressed meta-mutant abilities, repair cerebral functions, and alter the composition of his own molecules in certain ways (as stated above). Because of his control over his own biology, Chirurgeon has proven to be very difficult to treat medically. He usually passes out after pushing his powers too far and remains in a coma for some time. Hellion guessed that during these times, his DNA reboots itself. Chirurgeon is scared, that he only "scratched the surface" of what he can do, and he turned out to be right, as his abilities gradually evolved from healing simple scratches to simultaneously healing dozens of people, resurrecting himself and others, manipulating life-forces, etc. At first he needed to touch his targets to heal/kill them, but later learned to use his powers on several targets at the same time, without touching them.

_____Genetic Detection: Chirurgeon is able to detect abnormalities or changes in living beings: like cancer cells, chemical disturbances, or even a pregnancy.

_____Healing: At first he was capable of basic healing, having successfully healed broken bones, severe burns and even a mortal stab through the chest. After gaining Doctor Day's knowledge of human anatomy, physiology and biology, Chirurgeon has demonstrated increased mastery of his powers: regrowing Jubilent's heart, sedating an enraged Sprokyt, etc.

_____Instant Regeneration: Chirurgeon learned to heal himself almost as soon as he was wounded, taking only a few seconds to do so.

_____Life-Force Manipulation: Chirurgeon possesses the ability to sense and detect life-forces, such as when he was able to feel Jubilent dying, sensing her life bleeding out.

_____Resurrection: His ability to resurrect others was discoverd when a training accident killed half the Academy trainees and, out of desperation, Chirurgeon brought them all back to life. He was in a coma for two weeks following this extraordinary event.

_____Virtual Immortality: Although Chirurgeon can die, he is able to resurrect himself.

Power Instability: It is believed that, due to his age, Chirurgeon has not yet reached his full potential. As such his powers seem to vary in intensity. When a dog died after being hit by a car, Chirurgeon was unable to bring it back to life. He was so grief-stricken over this death that he involuntarily released a short-range bubble of energy that killed every plant and insect within 10 feet of him.

Body Armor: From the moment he first was transformed into Chirurgeon, he has had bits of armor around his neck, shoulders, forearms, waist and boots. They seem to be part of his body as he is able to alter them, giving him the appearance of wearing normal clothes, however, any attack against the armor does not seem to cause Chirurgeon any discomfort. This armor seems to be his default form as it always reappears when he reverts to his "natural" form. The armor itself is slightly more resistant than his skin is, yet when it is damaged he is able to repair it as easily as he can heal himself.

Chirurgeon's Staff: His staff is an extension of his armor. When tasked with choosing a weapon to train with, a staff made of the same substance as his armor grew within his hand. It seems to be able to become a conduit for his powers as he has not only healed several people, who were only touching his staff, but he was able to fire energy from it as well.

Cartoon Look-a-like: Yes, he does look like a redesign for Captain Planet. That is not his fault and he's really tired of people saying that.

Chestpiece: There is a never-ending ball of magical energy embedded in his chest that seems to be either the source of his powers or just a manifestation of his energy powers. At his request there was an attempt to remove it, but the doctor who tried was killed the moment they began to pull. Chirurgeon was able to resurrect them and no further attempts have been made.

Dichromatic Skintone: When Chirurgeon uses his powers to injure or kill any living thing, oily black swirls appear on his body and do not go away until he has healed or resurrected an equal number of living things. After he killed all those plants and insects in grief, his body developed hundreds of oily-black swirls on his body for several weeks. It is unknown what would happen if his entire body was to get covered in blackness. All Chirurgeon will say is the skin with the swirls is cold and numb.

Power Limitation: Using his powers for extreme feats or for extended lengths of time can wear him out, causing him to collapse, sometimes putting him in a coma.

Unique Case: Chirurgeon is the first documented case of someone gaining superhuman powers against their will or with no meta-mutant gland. Now the question is: Can this be duplicated on purpose?
