History
Written by: Joshua W. Murcray

Rafael was a young man, fresh out of high school, when he went fishing at his favorite watering hole, one summer night. After setting up camp and getting some water boiling, he grabbed his pole and headed for the river, and never returned.

Eight years after his disappearance, Rafael was found wandering naked through the City of El Paso, in the Republic of Texas. He claimed that he was dropped off after having been experimented on by aliens called the Myarkrakoan

At first no one believed him until Rafael's body started to shift. Having been given the abilitity to adapt to any attack his body was subtling reacting to the pollution in the air and the toxicity of the water they had given him.

Now he looks like a mutated human with extra lung filters, an extra heart, no longer has a neck giving his head more stability. In fact no one truly knows how much of his body has been altered at it seems to constantly be reacting to his environment.

Myarkrakoan Physiological Adaptations

Instantaneous Adaptation: Ðãra'u'in's powers of self-protection offers continuous circumstantial evolution. Ðãra'u'in is able to adapt to any situation. His reactive meta-mutation can instinctively recode his DNA in response to threatening outside stimuli, undergoing millions of years of evolution in mere moments. He can physically counter kinetic or energy based threats to his well-being, increase in size and strength, cancel psychokinetic energies in his vicinity, and adapt to any environmental toxin.

Examples of such manifestations include receiving functioning gills after being submerged in water, gaining night vision after being in the dark for several seconds, being able to survive without oxygen when in space, his skin becoming fireproof when it is exposed to flames, his body becoming pure energy, his intelligence increasing itself or the understanding of the Shi'tha'nar'ians language by looking at it in written form.

After the crisis has passed, his body resets itself to its baseline form. Ðãra'u'in cannot consciously control or trigger his ability; if he is not being actively threatened, but merely contained, his bio-enhancements fade away even if he still wants them.

Immortality or Near Immortality: As a byproduct of Ðãra'u'in's continuous evolution, he may, in fact, be immortal. He can survive indefinitely in harsh conditions and/or without water or nourishment. Ðãra'u'in even survived Grim Reaper's Infinity Beams.

Power Replication

Ðãra'u'in's ability allows him to acquire practically any super power he could desire one at a time. It is hinted that these power changes were random, though Ðãra'u'in at times has demonstrated a cognizant choice in abilities he is summoning. At The T.I.T.A.N.S. Academy he seems to be limited to assuming only physical abilities. However, his powers do not always take the effect he desires, nor are they always just a physical adaptation. For example, during his fight with Red General, his body teleported him away from the battle rather than supplying a power that would allow him to defeat Red General.

Metamorphosis: Like his adaptaions to attack, whenever Ðãra'u'in adapts a new power, his physical form also changes into a state that capitalizes on the ability. No known limitation has yet been placed on the length of time he can assume a form.
