Powers

Divine Empowerment:

After Marc Hoshi was imbued with a sliver of Tsukuyomi-no-Mikoto's power he displayed the ability to channel near-unlimited energy from the Japanese moon-god.

Flight

Force Field

Geokinesis: As most orbital astral bodies are composed entirely out of mineral, rock and dead terrafirma, this indicates an underlying ability to control different earthen elements by sheer will.

Illusion Casting

Immortality: Marc Hoshi's pact with Tsukuyomi-no-Mikoto comes with the advantages of immortality. Moonlite has been brought back to life by Tsukuyomi-no-Mikoto on numerous occasions. Fatal wounds that would end any other mortal superhero are restored by the god to full health, allowing Moonlite to continue his vengeful spree.

Light Absorption: Moonlite can absorb all forms of illumination, and internalize it for a variety of uses.

Light Projection

Lunakinesis: Moonlite was able to control the universe's different moons and objects made out of them.

Lunar Strength: Through the power of Tsukuyomi-no-Mikoto, Moonlite received increased strength at night and under the light of the moon. His strength naturally increased after nightfall and whenever he was away from direct sunlight. Under the new moon, when the moon was not visible in the sky, his strength increased so that he could lift 1,000 lbs. Over the next two weeks, his strength would increase even further as the moon became larger in the night sky. Under the light of the full moon, his strength reached its peak, allowing him to lift 4,000 lbs, or 2 tons. When it comes to his other powers, their strength is all based on the phase of the moon except his light-based powers. Those are always at full-strength.

Moon Empowerment: Moonlite once mentioned that the supermoon feeds into the strength level of his abilities. Giving him enough power to best the likes of Earth's greatest champions single handed.

Necromancy: Moonlite was able to control an entire army of undead mummies.

Transformation: Hoshi's Moonlite persona is not just Marc playing dress-up. With just a thought Marc can transform into his Moonlite persona, which is a completely different body, powered by the Japanese moon-god. Even if his mask were to be removed Moonlite shares no resemblance to Marc Hoshi.

Phasing: At one point Hoshi stepped through solid glass while transforming into his caped semblance, Moonlite, coming out the other side.

Power Absorption: Moonlite has, in the past, been able to absorb the mystical powers of Nacht Wunder, Spector and Vengeance. This power seems limited as Moonlite was unable to absorb Almaeisha Almwat's powers due to her powers being embedded in her blood.

Self Sustenance: Moonlite can survive indefinitely without need of a breathable atmosphere.

Paraphernalia

Moonlite's Suit: Moonlite's original costume included Kevlar armor since his force field is not active all the time. It had a built-in two-way radio system so that Moonlite could summon PSIA officers, who typically provided backup. Moonlite later upgraded by adding dart launchers to the gauntlets, cable line used for grappling, and a few other features

Weapons

Although he has mastered almost every weapon ever invented, Moonlite displays an obvious fondness for certain moon-themed objects referred to as his toys. These include throwing discs, nunchaku, and a truncheon.

Discs: Most likely his favorite weapon, these circular throwing blades function as "calling cards" as well as weapons. Using his light powers, the edges of each disc are made of solid light and can slice through all Earthly materials. Moonlite keeps a dozen of them in protective holsters spaced around his belt. The light-edges are only activated at his mental command.

Truncheon: This ingenious device functions as a simple club or nunchaku. By itself, it can be wielded as a blunt instrument or thrown. It separates into two shorter clubs (linked by a chain) to entangle a weapon or limb, or to lengthen the club's arc of travel and thus its force. It weighs 12 pounds (5.5 kg) and is 12 inches (30 cm) long. When not in use, it fits into a holster on his left calf.

Weaknesses

Brain Damage/Mental Illness: While it was initially believed Moonlite suffered from dissociative identity disorder, it was determined that the different personas he has developed throughout his life are a consequence of having become Tsukuyomi-no-Mikoto's avatar. Due to his appearance changing when he becomes Moonlite, along with the experiences and knowledge Tsukuyomi-no-Mikoto has imbued his Moonlite persona, his psyche has become confused over who he truly is and which one is the original him and which is not. This has made keeping his two personas separate quite difficult.
