Tigaza was born in the slum of a spaceport city to an unwed mother who had little time for him. Little Tigaza's fascination with spacecraft led to an incident that began his violent career: while sneaking a look inside a military flier, Tigaza was surprised by a guard, who shot at him, missed and accidentally shot another guard rounding the corner. The guard told his superiors that the intruder, Tigaza, was to blame for killing the other guard.
