The Cosmic Converter Harness has been integrated into her costume, with controls built along her waistline. The circuitry is spread throughout her outfit. It grants the her the following abilities:

_____Durability: ALT-ENHANCED HUMAN: While wearing the harness, Surprise!'s skin, bone and muscle are augmented by the harness to make them stronger and harder than a normal human. This makes her impervious to injury to a certain extent, including small gunfire and bladed weapons.
_____Phasing: The harness allows Surprise! to walk through solid objects or people without causing harm to them or herself.
_____Reflexes: ALT-ENHANCED HUMAN: Surprise!'s reflexes are enhanced to be well beyond the finest athletes.

Veteran: Former member of the United States Army, before it merged with the Canadian military and became the United Protectorates Army. Now she serves as civilian liason to the United 8 of North America retaining full rank and authority of Sergeant Major.
Crush: She has a crush on Thunderbird.
Mystery: It is not known where Surprise! actually got her harness/outfit. She claims she made it using technology she got while on vacation. Other reports say it was given to her by the government. There is no record on file of that type of technology being developed nor it being gifted to anyone.
