The Oansgard were the Universal Guardians. Their scientific accomplishments included discovering a way to store and channel the different energies of the elements that made-up all of space and time. The ruler of the Oansgard was given the Infinity Hammer, a war-hammer that housed within it all the spirits of past rulers, thereby giving the current monarch access to the experience, wisdom, and teachings of those who had gone on before.

The current son of the king, though not necessarily next in line for the throne, was Halthor, son of Gandin, mightiest of all the Oansgard, for he had mastered the most difficult of elements to understand. He had mastered Time.

Sadly, his mastery would not stop the events that would destroy his people.

During his travels, Halthor journeyed throughout the galaxy, studying the temporal sciences of the various species he encountered. One day, light years from his home, Halthor received word that war had come to Oansgard and that his people were being decimated!

Bending time, Halthor sped through the stars only to arrive, ironically, too late. His home-world had been ravaged by a great evil that left a sickly greenish-red aura of Poison and Fear behind. Halthor flew to the throne room where he came across his father's prone body. Searching, Halthor could not find the Infinity Hammer, also called the Soul Stone. Puzzled and in frustration, Halthor did the only thing he could think of...he used his mastery to reverse the flow of time, to allow him to discover what happened to his people, who had done this vile thing, and where was the Infinity Hammer.

As time began to rewind, Halthor could do nothing as he watched within his temporal cocoon, the tragedy unfolds before him. His puzzlement grew as he saw that his father never wielded the Soul Stone during his fight with his opponent! It seemed like his spirit was not in the battle and was only fighting on automatic! But puzzlement turned to rage as he saw who the assailant was...his own sister, Thaalamora Liannasdottir, the Enchantress of Fear!

He knew that she had always felt she should be the next ruler, but the governing council did not want someone who reveled in Fear. But this?! This was beyond jealousy! This was pure murder! And of so many!

WAIT! What was that?! Halthor stopped his journey allowing time to flow forward once more as he watched in shock! His father, High King Gandin Borthetsson, was beckoning towards him! But no one should be able to see him!

Halthor stepped from his temporal cocoon and quickly paced towards his father. Gandin told him that the Soul Stone knew that Halthor would be coming and to give him the Infinity Hammer. Shocked, Halthor tried to step back only to be grabbed by his father and have the Infinity Hammer forced into his grasp.

Gandin, still holding the handle of the Infinity Hammer, closed his eyes and then told his son the final piece of his plan.

With tears in both of their eyes, together they bent time and spirit and called out to all the souls of their people including those who were alive and those dying that very moment. As they strained with the effort, the entire population of Oansgard released their souls to be joined to the Soul Stone, living on within the Infinity Hammer, to offer their strength, power, and, at times, wisdom & expertise to the wielder.

With his final strength, Gandin also gave up his spirit to reside forever in the Infinity Hammer, leaving Halthor alone, holding the weight of an entire planets' soul in his hands.

Knowing then what he had to do, Halthor stepped back within his temporal bubble and sped time to return him to the present.

Now, Halthor Gandinson, taking the name of Ragnarök, in memory of the death of his race, journeys throughout space and time seeking out the murderer of his people!

Having discovered others of vast powers on Eden, Ragnarök has joined The T.I.T.A.N.S. with the understanding that they would also aid him in his quest for justice.

Oansgardian Physiology:

Ragnarök possesses several superhuman attributes common among the Oansgardians. However, due to his unique birth, some are considerably more developed than those of most of his race, including his strength, endurance and resistance to injury. Ragnarök is arguably the most powerful being on the planet, currently, and one of the most powerful beings in the universe. While on Eden, Ragnarök greatly withholds his power unless fighting someone with similar strength and durability.

Decelerated Aging: It is a common misconception that Ragnarök and his people are truly immortal. They do age but at a rate so slow that to other beings they give the appearance of immortality. This is in turn enhanced by their mastery of the Elements.

Dexterity & Reflexes: Enhanced: Ragnarök's reflexes, agility, balance, and bodily coordination are beyond the natural physical limits of even the finest human athlete.

Durability: Virtually Indestructible: Like all Oansgardians, Ragnarök's skin, muscles, and bones are about three times denser than similar human tissue, contributing to his superhuman strength and weight. As a being whose heritage is both half-Oansgardian and half-something else, Ragnarök is virtually invulnerable and has immunity to any such human ailments as diseases, toxins, poisons, and highly resistant to most conventional injuries. Ragnarök has been able to withstand attacks from several of the universe's most powerful beings, several blasts from Gandin, a multiversal skyfather, and even survived blasts from Amaranthine. Ragnarök has also withstood the explosion of a solar system-sized ship. He has also shown immunity to lead and radiation poisoning and has an immunity to extreme heat and subzero temperatures.

_____Rapid Healing: Ragnarök is not invulnerable to all harm and it is possible to injure him. But due to Ragnarök's physiology he can heal from most injuries much faster than a human being could. Even after extensive torture and damage, Ragnarök managed to repeatedly regenerate his teeth, hair, eyes, and destroyed flesh and broken limbs after a short time.

Intelligence: Above Normal: Ragnarök has above normal intelligence.

_____Expert Strategist: Ragnarök is an excellent strategist due to centuries of combat training and experience.

Senses: Superhuman: Ragnarök's superhuman senses allow him to see objects as far out as the edge of Eden's Solar System, allow him to track objects traveling faster than light, and hear cries from the other side of the planet.

_____Super Breath: Ragnarök can use his breath to create hurricane force winds.

Speed: Flight: Gliding & Escape Velocity: Ragnarök has shown the ability to fly and levitate. Using the Infinity Hammer he can reach up to Mach 32.

Speed: Land: Speed of Sound: Ragnarök can move significantly faster than any human on foot.

Stamina: Godlike: Ragnarök's advanced musculature is far more efficient than that of a human and most other Oansgardians, allowing him to sustain himself almost indefinitely without any exhaustion. He was capable of fighting for two years straight without food or sleep.

Strength: Level-100: Ragnarök is physically the strongest of the Oansgardians and is said to be able to lift 100 tons. However, many sources classify his strength as well above 100 tons. Ragnarök has shown many feats of strength over the years and defeated or battled to a standstill many of the world’s most powerful creatures including Wrath, Virgo, Tiapolotautai, Řęđtřoςςïtuςς, Ironclad, and Heracles. Ragnarök has also been shown be able to snap 8^thbranium alloy cables. Ragnarök has resisted the gravity of a neutron star and destroyed planets as a side effect of him fighting. He was able to wound a moderately fed Chernobog by crashing into his helmet and breaking his armor.

Super-Advanced Vocal Cords: Ragnarök's vocal cords are advanced enough to allow him to throw his voice in a super-human degree.

_____Omnilingual: Ragnarök can communicate in all of the languages of the allies of the Oansgardians, Eden's dialects, and various alien languages.

Telepathy: Even without the Infinity Hammer in his possession, Ragnarök is able to establish a telepathic link with his father and communicate with his soul within the Infinity Hammer.

_____Telepathy Immunity: Ragnarök can resist the mental influence of powerful beings. He resisted a mind thrust attack from Premier, the music of Harmony, and a mental attack from Onyx.

Vast Energy Manipulation: Ragnarök has the ability to manipulate vast amounts of energy, thanks to his mother's DNA, he can channel the storm's energy into blasts so powerful that he can destroy 8^thbranium-Two. Ragnarök can also channel his energies through the Infinity Hammer, creating rays powerful enough to kill even immortals.

_____Weather Control: Due to his genetic inheritance from his mother, Ragnarök can control the elements of storms, both with and without the Infinity Hammer. Ragnarök can summon and control the near-infinite powers of the storm, causing rain, wind, thunder, and lightning. He also can create unnatural weather like fire rain, as well. Ragnarök has displayed, on numerous occasions, the ability to create electrical storms, hurricane winds, tornadoes, tidal waves, blizzards as well as earthquakes that have been shown to run across an entire planet. Ragnarök can affect the weather on a planetary wide scale. Ragnarök can stop any of the weather conditions that he creates. Ragnarök can also discharge lightning bolts from his hands that are lethal and raw in power, also engulfing his hands in lightning to amp his punches. Even as a baby, he has created storms powerful enough to shake all of Oansgard.

Ragnarök's ability to understand and control temporal energies has granted him the following powers and enhancements to his already extraordinary powers:

_____Electromagnetic Scanning: Ragnarök has a wide range of detection abilities. If he can conceive of it, he can probably detect it. Magical effects like clairvoyance seem to be beyond the scope of his abilities. Most normal electromagnetic phenomena are within the range of his abilities, including radio, radar, television, infrared, ultraviolet, microwave, and high frequency band communications.

_____Emerald Sight: Ragnarök has the ability to divine the future in glimpses of bright radiance.

_____Energy Absorption: Ragnarök can absorb and store other energies but within a certain limit.

_____Energy Construct Creation: Ragnarök can form constructs of temporal energy. Ragnarök is capable of transforming his thoughts into physical constructs through the strength of his control over temporal energies. He can create any particular item or construct that he can imagine as long as he has a firm grasp of temporal energies. The constructs are made out of bright green-blue energy and they exist only as long as Ragnarök fuels them. Items created by Ragnarök are not indestructible. The types of constructs usually reflects Ragnarök's current emotional state as that determines his grasp on temporal energy.

_____Energy Projection: Ragnarök can fire blasts of energy or create weapons such as projectiles of them. Ragnarök can project beams of force which are only as powerful as his control of time at that...time.

_____Force Field: Ragnarök can create various force fields of various sizes and shapes to protect himself and others around him. Ragnarök creates a force field, protecting himself from the hazards of the void including filtration of stellar radiation and microscopic particulate matter which would ordinarily be fatal should the space debris strike him at high speeds. An atmosphere appropriate to his biology is created inside the force-field while body temperature is maintained and waste products are removed. Gravitational stresses which could cause injury are stabilized. Theoretically, Ragnarök could use his force fields as a sole source of life support. The force field seems to be created instantaneously due to an instinctive reaction.

_____Invisibility & Light Refraction: Ragnarök can render himself invisible by willing the bending light waves around his form.

_____Limited Cellular Regeneration: Ragnarök has an ability to heal physical injuries. Ragnarök can use this ability to repair injuries in himself or others. Speculation has been rendered that if Ragnarök actually had medical knowledge he would be able to cure a wider variety of dysfunctions beyond normal physical injuries.

_____Phasing: Ragnarök can pass through certain solid objects such as walls. Which objects that are not penetrable are not known, but it may depend upon the strength of his willpower and the density of the object's molecular structure.

_____Speed: Flight: Warp Speed: By the manipulation of the flow of time within the very molecule of reality, Ragnarök can fly at incredible speeds. In atmosphere, Ragnarök has been known to fly as fast as Mach 10 by creating an aerodynamic envelope around his body. Towing others, his speed is limited to twice the speed of sound or 1,440 mph. In space, Ragnarök's speed can be significantly greater and has been known to approach 99% of light speed in normal space. In atmospheres, air friction is not a hindrance since heat is either absorbed or reflected by his temporal energy field.

_____Wormholes and Spatial Warps: Ragnarök can use his temporal energy to access wormholes in space, enabling him to rapidly cut time and distance needed for transport. Even black holes can be navigated.

_____Strength: Incalculable: While Ragnarök already possesses superhuman strength like all Oansgardians, his temporal powers, in the form of his energy constructs, allow him to be capable of lifting/moving tremendous weights on par of shifting planets.

_____Time Travel: Ragnarök has the ability to travel through time, though his strength of will determines the length of time he spends in another time, as well as how far forward or back he can travel. He is also capable of controlling the speed of time around him, as he did when he arrived on his home planet just before the death of his father, despite hearing of his people's massacre two days afterwards.

Diplomatic Immunity: Because of his ability to prove, using the Infinity Hammer, Ragnarök has been granted Diplomatic Immunity by every nation on Eden.

Fighting: Expert: Trained in the arts of war, Ragnarök is a highly skilled warrior, proficient in unarmed combatant, and proficient with most Oansgardian weaponry. Ragnarök has enough skill to battle against foes with millennia experience such as Heracles on numerous occasions.

Military Protocol: As a trained pilot of Oansgardian Ragnarök has great knowledge of military tactics that have allowed him to outmaneuver and defeat even a squadron of Soulless in one of their battles.

Soul Force:

The Soul Force enables Ragnarök to tap into the resources of cosmic and mystical energies of the dimension the Oansgardians now reside in, within the Soul Stone aka Infinity Hammer, enhancing all of his abilities in turn. The sum total of the Soul Force significantly increased Ragnarök's powers. Ragnarök damaged Sentinel's Shield by striking it, teleported Ἀτλαντὶς νῆσος temporarily into the skies above the Oklahumma' Protectorate, and contained a nuclear missile's explosion. Apparently, Ragnarök accomplishments during his time on Eden are minimal compared to the Soul Force's full power.

Sleep of Restoration: When Ragnarök uses the Soul Force too greatly or too fast he needs to replenish his energies by entering the Sleep of Restoration. There is no definite time frame as to when he has to enter the Sleep of Restoration or how long he has to be in it. Having learned from his father's past experiences of being vulnerable while in the Sleep of Restoration, Ragnarök uses a casket made by Gandin's metalsmith. The casket contains enchantments that create a state between life and death to reduce the time required for the Sleep of Restoration. Once it has been closed from within, it cannot be broken by any force known to man or gods and can only be opened from the inside.

Timekeeper aka The Chronal Ring: Ragnarök is an Adept in the study of Time. But with this comes the dangers of wielding such great power. To help focus his control, without being overwhelmed by power that could destroy a universe, the Elemental Electorate on Oansgard created a ring made of the same substance as the Infinity Hammer. Once Ragnarök placed it on his finger, the very fabric of the multiverse could be accessed, turning the ring emerald green with the chronal energies, making it a focal point for temporal energy. Bown Force: Interestingly, Ragnarök's temporal energy constructs can be disrupted by the energy of the Bowen Force.

Chronal Displacement Aphasia: The farther Ragnarök travels in time, in any direction, the longer it takes him to recover. The necessary concentration to handle Time itself is extremely taxing.

Mental Instability: While having the wisdom and experience of an entire race can be beneficial, it can also lead to distraction as each soul attempts to have their voice heard. Normally only the past rulers of Oansgard were strong enough to be heard, but there are times when the other souls within can get through. Often, when they do, it is with terrible timing.
